I liked this one a lot, I just wish it was longer and you could have more conversations.

Apart from the one with whale song in it, I don’t think I’ve ever really felt uplifted at the end of any of your stuff. Even ‘Mirror Game’ has something creepily other-worldly about it.

Stephen, you’re still one of surprisingly few people getting right this idea of “games as short story”…

So there’s this thing in games where if you’re given an option to do a thing, you *do* it; if murdering everyone in the world is an option, you’ll eventually take it if the game fails to provide other meaningful interactions or other ways to move the story forward. (“Uin” played with this idea in some interesting ways.) The downside I feel like is that this can make certain interactions, or puzzles, or moral choices, feel shallow where they otherwise might have impact; maybe the players’ own actions are less real to them if feels clear they’re just pressing the one button that was given to them to press.
