Loved the game, the dissociative and paranoid atmosphere really got under my skin. Especially the music, it suits the game and the concept fucking perfectly. Do you compose everything yourself?

On another note, may I ask what is the purpose of the three seemingly misplaced text files in the data folder of the source? “numbers”, “pwd” and “story”. They do kinda add to the mindfuck..

This and Slave of God are my absolute favourites.

The way she has to put on an unfamiliar face, and perform an action she normally never has to perform, and the way the event stands out uncomfortably in contrast to the oppressive mundane nature of a distant family and a general feeling of being utterly ineffectual to the lives of the only things she has the option to interact with was communicated very well. I liked the glitch that made her confuse the R in COUNTER with her daughter, it made her seem desperately lonely and so in need of companionship that she forgets this R is not actually Rose sometimes. I wish there had been some scripted dialogue in the sections where rose wasnt in the house, that could be a cool element for a future rogue-like :)

I’m not gonna lie… I played this game a while back, and I’ve never been able to get through it a second time because of how hard this hits home for me. Thing got better but, it opens a door inside I’d rather leave closed. I’m not sure what to say about it.

This game is both brilliant and terrible… It’s brilliant in how it well it affects the player,it’s terrible in the same way… The nightmare sequences freaked me out more than any game I’ve ever played, I think the fact that it was just text made that alienation far worse. Anyway, have fun sleeping tonight, I know I won’t be.
